Great News! The refurbishment of 4 units started on the 19th April. These are the last units that need to be upgraded to bring them up to the same standard as all the other accommodaton we offer. This will mean all 12 units are either new or have been refurbished in the last 2 years. We would like to thank our sponsors for their help in making this happen. The Rotary Club of Noosa Heads Daybreak, Ernst & Young, Harcourts Real Estate Qld & The John Villiers Trust.

Hundreds of members from the Motorcyles Riders Association of Queensland ride to bring early Xmas presents for our CCS children. Christmas was coming and so were over 400 motor bikes from the MRAQ to support our kids and families at CCS. They came in a huge convoy bringing toys and teddies from the members as well as generous givers along the way. A BIG thank you to Jan and all the members who gave CCS so many presents for the third year in a row.
Bill Watson CEO of Childhood Cancer Support gratefully received over $21,000 in cheques from the combined efforts of Caltex & Transfield for an exercise combining OHS days without accidents at the Caltex refinery during a maintenance shutdown.

Thanks to the Channel 9 show 'Secret Millionaire' and Naomi Simpson from Red Balloon for her kind donation, we were able to buy a nine seater bus to help with transport of the CCS families. How exciting for Childhood Cancer Support for this generous gesture, so a big thank you goes out to Naomi and Channel Nine for their support.

2009 Maroon Day was huge success again with CCS families meeting the FOGS (Former Origin Greats) with Wallly Lewis and the Queensland State of Origin Team at McDonalds. Mum's and Dad's and children were delighted when the team turned up for photographs and signings with the families. This is the 3rd year FOGS has invited CCS to be a part of their Maroon Day activities. We would like to thank the FOGS for their continued support of Childhood Cancer Support. Next year CCS is trying for something special with Maroon Day where everyone can get involved..... Stay tuned for more information.....

Stockland puts down their Pens for Paint!
Stockland does it again!! It was a three day project with a crew of many to repaint the existing CCS houses.
Over forty different staff members spent three days at CCS giving the building's some much needed TLC. The crew painted the outside of three of the CCS houses and when they had finished the houses they moved onto anything they could get their brushes on; from tables and fences to staff who stood still for too long!
Thanks so much to all at Stockland, you are welcome to come back anytime....
