On Wednesday, 18th September, Alice was invited for a special day at Suncorp Stadium to meet Brisbane Roar players in celebration of Talk Like a Pirate Day. The players, showing their solidarity with Alice, donned eye patches to support the cause, raising awareness and funds for families impacted by childhood cancer.
Players Antonee Burke-Gilroy and Louis Zabala were interviewed by 10 News and shared their thoughts on the importance of supporting Talk Like a Pirate Day. They encouraged fans and the wider community to jump aboard, get involved, and donate to help make a difference.
Alice, along with her mum Sian, also shared their own journey, highlighting how crucial community support is for families facing childhood cancer. The event was a heartwarming reminder of the power of community and the difference it can make for families like Alice’s.
Let’s continue to rally behind this important cause and keep the momentum going! Every bit of support counts.
